Facebook has launched an end-to-end experience by default for its Messenger platform.
It has been planned for a long time by Meta, the company
that owns Facebook, and now its experience is possible.
But the chat privacy can be improved with the default feature.
End-to-end encryption means that users' messages cannot be read by Facebook.
These messages remain between users.
Meta says that this feature will be available for limited users in Messenger.
The company is also experimenting with encrypted chats to keep them safe for a long time, with which the chat history can be recovered and saved in the device if the phone is lost, for this purpose they need to save a PIN or code.
Meta is planning to introduce end-to-end encrypted calls to Messenger calls.
